Northern Ireland / Ireland 2026 | Security, Risk & Resilience Forum

Inaugural Security, Risk & Resilience Forum

In February 2026, Northern Ireland will host the inaugural Security, Risk & Resilience Forum, the first event in what is planned to become an annual gathering for the security industry across Ireland and the UK.

This forum is different by design.

It is not another stiff, corporate, checkbox conference. It is an engaging, comfortable, and genuinely human event, created by practitioners for practitioners — a space where real experience matters as much as theory, and where meaningful conversations happen naturally.

A different approach to industry events

The security, risk, and resilience sector is broad. It spans corporate security, protective services, cyber, technology, intelligence, public sector, training, and those who are just beginning their journey into the industry.

Too often, events focus on hierarchy, sales pitches, or overly polished presentations that leave little room for honest discussion.

This forum takes a different approach.

We are deliberately creating an environment that is:

  • Relaxed but professional

  • Informative without being overwhelming

  • Inclusive of all levels, from emerging professionals to senior leaders

  • Focused on real-world experience, not buzzwords

The aim is simple: bring good people together and let the value emerge naturally.

Shining a light on Northern Ireland and Ireland

Northern Ireland, and Ireland more broadly, has produced a generation of security professionals shaped by a unique and challenging history.

Decades of conflict, instability, and community tension have forged skills that are rarely taught in classrooms:

  • Situational awareness as second nature

  • Calm decision-making under pressure

  • Risk assessment rooted in lived experience

  • Communication across divides

  • Practical resilience, not theoretical resilience

These are highly transferable skills, now applied globally across corporate security, media safety, humanitarian work, cyber risk, crisis management, and public safety.

This forum is about acknowledging that expertise, giving it a platform, and ensuring it is recognised within the wider industry.

A forum for the whole industry

The Security, Risk & Resilience Forum is intentionally broad in scope.

It is designed for:

  • Security and risk professionals

  • Corporate and organisational leaders

  • Cyber, technology, and resilience specialists

  • Consultants, operators, and decision-makers

  • Training providers and industry educators

  • Those considering a career in the wider security industry

  • Public sector and policy stakeholders

Whether you are deeply established or just starting out, there is a place for you at the table.

Built on conversation, not sales

The structure of the day reflects the philosophy behind it.

Alongside guest speakers, panel discussions, and showcasing companies, there will be significant space for:

  • Informal discussion

  • Networking without pressure

  • Sharing lessons learned

  • Building relationships that extend beyond the event

This is not about hard selling, it is about connection, trust, and shared understanding.

Giving back locally

The forum is a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds going to selected local charities.

We are proud to support:

  • The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust

  • K9 Search and Rescue NI

Both organisations represent service, compassion, and commitment to community — values that sit at the heart of this event.

Looking forward

This inaugural forum is intended to be a springboard, the foundation for future events that grow in scale while retaining the same ethos: credible, grounded, welcoming, and relevant.

By bringing people together in the right environment, we believe stronger professional bonds will form, across Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the wider UK, helping to shape the future of the security, risk, and resilience industry.

We look forward to welcoming you this year and next.
